The company NuA Holz-Alubox builds various cabins with MiniTec aluminum profiles and larch wood. Sustainable construction and a healthy indoor climate were at the forefront of the project planning. The cabin can be completely dismantled at the end of its service life and all components can be returned to the raw material cycle.

Whether as a camper or a tiny house on wheels - there are no limits to the flexibility of a vehicle extension with the MiniTec profile system. The North German company NuA Holz-Alubox also uses the aluminum profiles for its constructions. They create cabins in room construction with aluminum profiles and larch wood.

The idea for this arose from one of their own projects, which had to be made of wood. Due to a lung disease of the future vehicle user, it was important to create a healthy indoor climate in the cabin. Sustainability was also important. The cabin can be completely dismantled at the end of its service life and all components can be returned to the raw material cycle or reused.

"We came into contact with MiniTec at the Abenteuer & Allrad trade fair in Bad Kissingen. Together we designed the frame skeleton and developed the corner joints and connecting blocks. The great thing is that the intermediate frame is included, so the weight of the cabin is not significantly heavier than a GRP cabin," emphasize the project participants. Mitre connectors were used for the bevelled rear of the cabin, resulting in a clean round edge.

Well insulated for cold nights

The idea of the cabins is now very popular on the market: "We are often asked about thermal bridges, which is not a problem with proper insulation. In our cabin, we worked with Almaflex on the aluminum construction," reveal the fit-out specialists. But of course you can also cover it with cork or other materials, there are many possibilities. The issue of impermeability is solved with a vapor barrier, which is breathable like in a residential building and is attached to the wood. The cabin is then insulated with wood wool. In general, however, the customer can decide on this himself. NuA Holz-Alubox can also insulate the cabin at the customer's request. Additional options can also be selected, such as an extendable terrace or a lowerable motorcycle and spare tire carrier. Each cabin can be individually designed for the customer.
