Exhibition tower based on MiniTecFlexible, modular, eye-catching 26. May 2026

ime Elektrotechnik GmbH prioritizes maximum flexibility for its trade show appearances: A custom-designed exhibition stand based on the MiniTec modular profile system presents products efficiently, flexibly, and in a way that’s easy to transport. This makes the technology not only visible but also a real eye-catcher.

ime Elektrotechnik GmbH is a leading European service provider in electrical engineering for the railway sector. The experts at the Berlin-based company provide consulting in the low-voltage sector and handle topics such as fire detection, heating, automation, and control technology.

To be able to present its own services and products flexibly at trade shows and conferences, ime designed and built a trade show tower based on the MiniTec profile system

The goal was for the trade show tower to

  • be stable but not too heavy
  • be reusable
  • be easy to assemble and disassemble, and thus also easy to transport
  • be variable and expandable depending on the product range being exhibited
  • be tailored to the company’s specific needs regarding the required dimensions

Joachim Rost from ime explains: “As a supplier of electrical components for (primarily) rail and bus companies, this exhibition booth was designed primarily to showcase our new products.”

One of these is the D2HUB, a solution for digitalization in public transportation. It features a container-based platform architecture with multiple onboard features, open interfaces (for customer-specific applications), and is built on a secure hardware foundation.

The second new product is the D2Guard — a camera surveillance system designed to protect locations such as depots and parking lots from graffiti or unauthorized access. It is AI-based and has a very long-range communication capability. It enables surveillance in locations where, for example, no local infrastructure is available.

Rost is enthusiastic about the flexibility of the MiniTec modular system: “The system was ideal for our purposes. Even smaller eye-catching elements like the illuminated sphere and the ‘disco lights’ could be installed on it very easily. We first used the exhibition tower in early March at IT-TRANS in Karlsruhe, a trade show for IT in local and long-distance transportation. The next event where it will be used again is InnoTrans in September in Berlin, Germany’s largest railway trade show.”

The ime exhibition tower is extremely versatile.
