MiniTec's collaborations are not limited to the research sector; schools are also important partners, as the example of Hamburg's Heinrich Heine High School shows.

Boris Chen, the physics and computer science teacher in charge of the project, is convinced that encouraging and challenging young people go hand in hand: "Many members of our technology club ("T-Club") start using professional CAD software, electronics, programming and project-oriented work methods as early as grades 5 and 6. Sometimes even the older ones learn from the younger ones in the process." The equipment in the technology club is of high quality. Almost everything is designed and built in-house. Even a high-performance PC was built in-house. With aluminum profiles from MiniTec, a combination of table and computer was created for this purpose. "MiniTec puts a lot of effort into even such small projects. This is already giving our students sound additional knowledge for a later technical or scientific career," the supervisor is pleased to say.
