Displaying the components in tiles improves usability just as much as the new 2D view.
With a comprehensive update, MiniTec takes its workplace configurator to a new level — focusing above all on one thing: a significantly improved user experience.
In addition to the 3D view, there is now also a 2D mode. This view offers additional guidance, particularly when positioning components or integrating human models such as iMike, and simplifies the planning process.
Instead of the previous drop-down menus and checkboxes, MiniTec now uses a visual tile selection with integrated product images. At the same time, the structure of the selection processes has been revised: properties are now grouped even more logically and arranged in a more user-friendly manner. This results in a better overview and more efficient work with the configurator.
A noticeably smoother and more powerful preview, which allows users to experience configurations in real time, ensures improved performance. Another focus is on more transparent collision checking—users can see at a glance which components collide with one another.

Collision detection has also been improved: it is now even easier to see which components overlap and where.

After moving it, everything fits again!
Detailed data sheets containing all relevant information on the individual components are now available for download. In addition, the PDF summaries (product data sheets) for the finished configurations have been significantly expanded and now include all technical details on the installed components.
The new configurator also offers improvements in project management: previous projects can be accessed more easily and are clearly visualized along with their basic components. Existing configurations and data from the order history are fully transferred to the new environment.
With these innovations, MiniTec clearly demonstrates the direction it is heading: toward even more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly digital workplace planning.
