In order to make the transportation and handling of breathing apparatus more hygienic, the Hamburg fire department commissioned the specialists from Meindl with new roll-off containers. Their special design based on the MiniTec modular profile system provides important advantages.

In order to optimize handling for both situations, the highly frequented racking system for BITO crates is located on an electro-hydraulically adjustable tilting table. This racking system also has a load securing system that allows transportation even when partially loaded. Both racking systems have roller conveyors and manually operated separators for optimum handling. The shelving systems were specially designed for this customer and built on the basis of the Minitec profile system.

According to Managing Director Lars Meindl, the customer is delighted with the result: "In addition to the flexible adaptability thanks to the MiniTec design basis, the shelving systems also have a very practical advantage in day-to-day operations: thanks to the concept described above with the "rocking Kanban frame", the central aisle to the shelves, which is standard in the industry, could be omitted, which provides 50% more storage space when loading. Thanks to our ABs, the Hamburg fire department can now supply its associated fire brigades with breathing apparatus not only more hygienically, but also much more efficiently."
